Koala populations to be mapped

Koala populations to be mapped :

"'The more we know about koala distribution and the location of their food and trees, the better equipped we will be to help conserve and recover their numbers in NSW,' Mr Debus said."

What a sensible idea. Anecdotal evidence and community involvement is a model used by FrogWatch and it works well. There is a phone number to be used here for NSW and I hope all Australians will be used to help provide information about our indiginous species . I am surprised the Net isn't being used as well. It would be so easy with a standard form or by using emails and you could email images as well. That would provide really strong on the ground evidence and information.
