More shamed rioters give in

More shamed rioters give in:

"The 17 year-olds, from Picnic Point and Hurstville, had their parents beside them as they were charged with riot and affray and granted conditional bail."

The kids are so young. So young. I am glad we are sorting it all out in the way we are sorting it out. When we have we shall realise how unreal and unnecessary it all was. When the parents, police , kids and courts sit down together I believe the wrongs will be set right for the future. Not for the people who were hurt and damaged and not for the property they have lost and the fear they felt. Those who did it do need to front up and understand the number of people they have hurt and damaged by their actions. I am almost positive the kids will not realise just how severe this all was. They would have been caught up in the adrenalin rush and the mob reaction. The police have to stay involved until younger people realise they need to stop themselves being manipulated and they need to consider how their behaviour affects other. Not just young people, we all need to think a lot more about what we do. We need to start with people at a younger age with the socialising behaviour because the world has changed and we have to consider how things can blow out of hand and by teachinbg others we shall remind ourselves. Forewarned is forearmed and all of that.
