Train runs again after 40 years :
"'We belong to this desert. This sand does not distinguish between Hindu and Muslim. This is sand of my own people,' he said, his voice filled with emotion."
Years ago I read a novel Train to Pakistan by Kushwant Singh and it was a very powerful, moving novel about the seemingly never ending divide between India and Pakistan. It is so incredible to hear the train will run again, that people are so excited and positive about it and that it will provide a way to link these two people. 12000 people bade the train farewell in Pakistan, that it how important the event is to these people. What an historic moment and so many stories to tell.
