The biggest loser

The Biggest LoserThe beginning of the week was really inspiring. The end of the week has been the pits. Some people have learned the lesson you can let everyone else take the responsibility and you'll be rewarded for it. The red team must be feeling gutted because there is no one on that team who deserves to go. Jo can be annoying but her buoyancy is a good counterfoil to the introspection of a couple of the other members. Kristie is extremely clear in her thinking and Adro is downright 100%. It is clear why Ruth has been so swamped both by her fat and her emotions. For her to have two tiny children with heart conditions must be a huge and worrying burden. Shane is getting happier and has lost so much weight this week..but for them to face another elimination after having to eliminate Dave, when they have put their heart and soul into it, was demonstrably unfair tonight. Okay, so life isn't fair and they might as well know it.It was awful Bob lost his mother so suddenly and it was clear the people thought very highly of him . It had its positive impact though and it's always odd how a terrible occurrence can impact in a positive way. The two teams could work as one for a bit and the interaction was so much healthier and they looked so much happier as a single unit. There was a real cameraderie and a real cpacity to challenge each other in a nice way. Jillian was astounding. It gave us a chance to see just how expert she is in managing human behaviour and physical training. She is an amazing woman with such a huge capacity to improve others. The truck challenge was incredible. You could see what a big effect it had on all of them physically and emotionally but the blue team had a good coach even if he wasn't able to physically participate. Big Wal has a lot of talent and skill and you would be safe in his hands in a fire. He is emotionally and physically strong and inspires trust. It was good he has started to mend his emotional problems. He has a good capacity to learn and I think it's his emotional side which has benefitted from the programme. But for the red team to have to lose another? No, that is so wrong. So the rules are positively discriminating against the ones who are being very genuine...and we are talking about people and we are talking about weight.
I am not looking forward to Monday. It will be an injustice whichever way it goes and it could do a lot of damage to people who are precariously balanced. The blue team has not had to be emotionally gutted. This is the third time for the reds because the Harbour Bridge was awful for them. I just hope my belief that life never gives you anything you cannot deal with is true.
