Australian Financial Review -:
"Mr Long said that he forwarded an email to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2003, warning of concerns about the program."
I am still not listening. I am still waiting for the deliberations of the commission. I should have thought if we were going to kill 100,000 Iraqis in the first bombing run, if these people had had trade sanctions which had damaged them and if we were going to invade a country called Iraq in 2003, everything to do with Iraq would have come under government scrutiny. Every deal, every move, every thought to do with the whole situation. We killed all those people and more on faulty WMD information. Did we pay Saddam Hussein on faulty accounting? Just to get a wheat deal?? It was a lot of money. Who were these accountants who did not notice? Oops, sorry, not having any of those thoughts. I want a government with its eye on the ball.
