DNA breakthrough may shed light on Ripper case. :

"Queensland scientists say a major breakthrough that enables them to read DNA that is 160-years-old will help solve old murder mysteries."

There has been so much speculationa as to who the Yorkshire Ripper was. It would be good to know. More importantly, it would be of real emotional value to families of victims if they could really know who the murderers know. This DNA breakthrough will give us help with cases which have hitherto gone unsolved.
