Limited access to hurricane victims.

Aust officials frustrated by limited access to hurricane victims.:

"Around 40 Australians are still believed to be trapped, while 29 have been evacuated over the last two days.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Bruce Billson, says US authorities are not allowing any consulate officials from any foreign governments into the area."

Foreigners are not the enemy. This is not a war. I accept the area is dangerous because enough people have dcoumented it for one to take it as the truth. All the more reason to get foreigners out. There has never been a disaster anywhere where countries have not been allowed to get their people out and usually they supply good and much needed items in at the same time. No one should be being cut off from their families and folks. It's bad enough the people of New Orleans who were too poor to get out of there are stuck in this terrible state of affairs, but people have to be allowed out. They are not prisoners. We are all gobsmacked. We just can't believe it and we are all so terribly upset for the people who are stuck there in the danger, the squalor and the horror. We feel futile.
