Uranium move creates confusion.

Uranium move creates confusion.:

"Uranium miners are confused about who will regulate their activities in the Northern Territory after the Commonwealth took responsibility for approving new mining applications."

Yes, it certainly is. Suddenly our uranium is all the go and this from a world that doesn't want some countries to have uranium. Suddenly we are going to be mining more. Why? Suddenly the agreement not to open new mines has been changed and suddenly the federal government is going to be in control of uranium mining. The things we have debated and agreed to over years are just being thrown away. What we worked towards is diminished or denied and not just with regard to uranium. So who is going to have all this uranium and why? Is it what we want or don't we care? This is a democracy . We are supposed to discuss and agree to things. Maybe it's not a democracy. So why bother with all the costly trappings?
