Military accidents do happen, Hill says.

Military accidents do happen, Hill says. :

"The incident comes less than 12 months after a US fighter jet crashed on a cattle station near Katherine.

Senator Robert Hill says the latest accident has to be thoroughly investigated."

"Accidently" dropping a bomb is not on. "Accidently" killing someone is not on. "Accidently" killing innocents is not on. There are certain things which require infinite care and precision. It's a blooming good reason not to have military paraphernalia around. It costs heaps, it kills people and it does untold damage to the environment. Military equipment is enormously dangerous and should be handled with care...but preferably not at all. Oops, sorry, just dropped a bomb on you. Does that sound right to you? Oops, sorry, I accidently ran over you. Didn't mean to. Oops, sorry, didn't mean to roll the truck into your house and kill your child. Come on. Care. Precision. Allowing military exercises is a matter of trust. Frankly, I think we can do without. Oops, sorry, just crashed into your harbour bridge. So sorry. Don't be so reckless. Oops, sorry, forgot, just blew up the planet. See ya.
