Stranded in outback

Downpour cuts off outback town. :

"American tourists Stuart Cram and his wife are among those stranded.

'We purposely came to the outback, which very few Americans do and we came for a unique experience and we got it,' he said."

William Creek is not far from the opal mining town of Coober Pedy and it has been cut off by floods. Nothing like being stranded in the outback. They have enough food for a while but they would have to be flown out by helicopter. I hope Stuart and his wife are enjoying it. The other choice is disgustingly hot and unbearably dry and windy. It's different all right. Poor things. They'll find out about the cameraderie, though, I am sure. Like any other outpost in any other country, the people really rally and hold you up when the wheels have fallen off.
