Good idea

Guardian Unlimited | Special reports | Mobile phone plan to aid identification:

"Although most mobile phones contain listings for 'mum' or 'dad', for instance, these may not be the most appropriate people to contact in an emergency and mobile phone users are being asked to store that person's number under ICE on their phone."

Pity the idea has been born from such abject circumstances but to have an ICE (in case of emergency) contact in your mobile seems to be a good idea. Takes the pressure off the hospital workers or the first aiders if necessary contacts can be made easily and it's a system we are all familiar with. Sadly, we are finding some better uses for our technology.
