Detention Dissention again

The Advertiser: Labor renews detention probe call :

"Labour has renewed calls for a judicial inquiry into immigration detention following revelations an Australian woman was 'lost' overseas after being wrongly deported four years ago."

It's true. We need to know who has been wrongfully detained and what has happened to them. This woman has been lost because she was deported. They cannot name her for privacy reasons. You can follow it here:

Woman kicked out by mistake

We shall get ourselves into a bind , though. People will want to sue and then governments will want to hide information. People can't keep paying out. I wish we heard more about how all this suing is destroying our society. It has lost us so many doctors, and, in certain areas around South Australia they can't get specialists. Mental health specialists are one of the groups which we are short of and they regularly close beds in mental hospitals because they can't access professional staff. So then mentally ill people are out in the community and their families will only be able to manage so much. It all then becomes very complicated and , like Cornelia Rau, they can somehow end up in Baxter Detention Centre. Get rid of the centre. That would be such a good start. Increase the refugee sponsorship programmes we have going on a small scale. The May Women's Weekly had a great article about us sponsoring refugees and how well it was working. I mean, we are good at so many things and this government has caused a lot of good Australia traits to become subverted to protocols which we haven't discussed and then ...quite clearly, not only don't work, they don't hep and they are extremely costly in the long term, both in financial and human terms. So let's quit while we're behind and sort it out as a nation..not a government.
