New funding blow to hit river projects

The Funding cuts:

"The Federal Government has cut Conservation Council of SA funding from $85,000 a year to a maximum of $10,000."

It took us a while to wake up we really needed to do something about the River Murray and when it was advertised it had become the slowest running river in the world, we were ashamed and embarrassed. Australians don't like to know they are not looking after their environment. Coupled with that was the River Murray Levy put on our water rates...so where is that money now going, prey tell because I am tired of indirect taxed via levies? We have no control over our income. Which party will sort the secret tax system out? Then we had to submit ourselves to all these water conservations measures like we couldn't manage our own water if we are asked. We used to be told to cut back and we did. Now we are told how to use or not use our water. We can't make decisions as to how we shall use our household water to suit our family needs. It's to do with the expiation notices you get for washing your car or concrete. I never did understand the obsession with washing concrete driveways. So...sort this one out, please, because I am not used to being treated so unfairly. It never was our way.
