Tragic ambulance situation

The situation with delayed ambulance responses and ambulance ramping has been traumatic for all concerned. We train first class paramedics in Adelaide and we don't want them to leave and go elsewhere because our ambulance service has become a living hell. Hospital cuts and medical cuts mean we have been short of ambulance services for quite some time. It also means people are now dying because they cannot get an ambulance to turn up quickly enough. The jobs list is long and there are not enough ambulances to go around. Then there are not enough hospital beds and so there is ramping. It has become a traumatic situation for everyone because serious coronavirus infections have shown just how fragile our ambulance system is. I can remember , in the days before November 23rd 2021, when our borders were opened, Mr. Marshall said we were COVID ready. He kept repeating it in that press conference. He said we were ready and our hospitals were ready and our system would manage the upsurge in hospital requirements because of an increase in people needing hospital care because they were suffering serious coronavirus infections  . It has been painful and tragic. Adelaide was never like this. The ramping has been in the news for a long time, but the lack of ambulances is now an urgent issue which requires urgent attention. I am hoping the review being spoken of is fast and effective. We need more hospital beds and more ambulances now before someone else dies needlessly or someone skilled goes off to work elsewhere.
