Fat Busting

"THE low-fat food market actually may be a key driver of the obesity epidemic, says a University of South Australia academic."

This article states the obvious, but the obvious needs to be stated. People who want to watch their weight have to be vigilant and they need to take their food very seriously. No one and nothing is to be trusted because we live in an economy and we have manufacturers who care about profit not nutrition...so they will use whatever it takes to drive their sales. Profit , profit, profit. We need to get back to the real issue of feeding ourselves properly. It is scandalous that it the 21st century we cannot feed ourselves and our children. We have become very good at fat busting ,though, inspite of our increasingly sedentary lifestyle. Yoga and pilates are surging, jogging is still popular, people who have never been to gyms are there and at work, we use our building to increase our fitness. There is a group of us who realised we are blessed with a big building and lots of stairs, so we make an effort to get off our butts and do circuits as we make the necessary connections in the workplace to drive our jobs. It's easy. Just takes a bit of thought and an avoidance of email. Then we are good at encouraging each other with recipes and lovely home made lunches. Those people who can't think have picked up the regime pretty quickly and are happier because of it...so read the food labels, plan your day and look at how you can improve. It is possible.
