Stimulus Package

"I'll have a one-way ticket in one hand and a graduate certificate in the other. It's extra money we'll spend overseas." 

That comment is  there to annoy us. The stimulus package is there to promote spending in Australia. To stimulate our economy. The double payments are unavoidable when the situation is dire and then we just want to get it in place. Then you cannot police the use of the money. It is given in good faith because even the price of super market shopping has blown out because of the drought, so many families will use that money well to get them through the tough times. It's a pity we cannot monitor the spending of the money...issued as vouchers into the areas we need supported. I'd like to see that!This has been done in good faith as have the packages in other countries. Sometimes I think we are too kind.
