European sites in particular are increasingly including moving visuals on there sites. Other big sites are doing it too and it can be very off putting and distracting. It might also have an impact on people with things like epilepsy. I am avoiding sites with jumping, flashing and generally irritating jumpy visuals because you can neither read nor concentrate. Your eyes are readjusting, the flashing images are hard to take and it is just disruptive. I prefer click on visual content so I can control what happens when.We went a bit potty on jumping sites in the early days of mass internetting when people discovered little javascript apps...but I thought we had got over that.
