Passengers stranded on train for 13hrs

Passengers stranded on train for 13hrs : "About 200 people were on the train, waiting for work to be completed on rail tracks in Broken Hill, in far western New South Wales."

An ounce of prevention. Keeping everyone informed. Planning. All the basics seem to have gone adrift. If there were works on the rail track which would delay the train for that long that needed to be factored into the train trip and people needed to know. The Indian Pacific has been trouble free. It doesn't normally carry on like this. You cannot lock people up in a carriage for hours and hours on end. No, it does not bode well for us or tourists and it is a bit disappointing to here the human consideration has run adrift along with the rail tracks.
