'So you call that dance? It's hideous'

'So you call that dance? It's hideous' : "After watching the show Tankard said it could have been improved by being less competitive with more money put into 'good dancing''.

'It'd be nice if we could connect more,'' she said."

The performing arts have been impoverished for the last few years since they have not even been considered. The headlines, air time and prime time have been grabbed by shows like Big Brother, the aggressive and violent series, politicians, Baxter...some really negative and belligerent stuff. So you think you can dance? has changed the landscape and it has grabbed people and drawn them in. The game aspect is very trying and everyone knows that. For the time being it means we have had a chance to revel in our performing artists and the show may well bring about an awareness that people like and even love dance, so then they will think about going to shows. Until his show there was nothing to turn our heads away from a very aggressive political agenda which did not considers artists. So now is the time to keep grabbing that attention and get everyone engaged with the arts again. How beautiful would that be?
