The losing control and hitting a tree is becoming common place these days and it is a worry. Safe driving and taking corners at a lower speed with tyres in good condition seems to be neglected. I don't think they are ready for a licence yet. The girls are very young. Surely there wasn't someone in the boot as well? It's hard to think why they'd travel in a car boot.
