Seatbelts

Two million drivers can’t be bothered to clunk-click : "Today is the 25th anniversary of the first laws requiring seatbelts to be worn in cars. However, a survey has found that nearly four in ten passengers do not wear them for every journey."

This is in Britain and on the 25th anniversary for seatbelts in cars this is sobering news and information. There is some good stuff here. It is surprising that people choose not to wear seatbelts when the overwhelming evidence is that they save lives...like airbags. Perhaps more than airbags. We have some very effective adverts about speeding, seatbelts, airbags and road safety. We have had such successful safe driving campaigns and the ads are changed on a regular basis and are always bang ont eh button. They are very clear and extremely informative so we do not think twice about things like seatbelts. They are having trouble getting the speeding stuff through to the right people. The rest of us have slowed down as a result of that girl being turned into a rag doll at 65 kmp. That is a very clever ad.
