Obama has slight edge though polls predict a close race : "'We might just pull this thing off Iowa, who would have thunk it?' Senator Obama said to wild cheers from a crowd of 1000 at Iowa State University on New Year's Eve."
Yes, and the presidency would never be the same again! Even though Hilary Clinton is my personal favourite because she is competent and I just want to see if woman can make a better go of this planet because men have had all the shots and it's time to get a new perspective, I confess Obama has a lot of zip and energy and may well be what America needs...but are they ready for him?! Would they be able to manage someone so trendy and young who moves so fast? JFK was a young president and made quite an impact and it was unbelievable he could not be allowed to live because things might have been very different. Apart from him , has America ever had a young president? They all seem rather entrenched. Maybe they have to be to succeed at that level. It would be interesting to see whether someone of Obama's flexibility could succeed at the top...or maybe he just needs to wait till he is older. He has most certainly had a good training run and he most certainly has given the other two a run for their money. This is so much more interesting than usual. Bit of excitement!!
