Heat doesn't stop party: "With the temperature still hovering near 40C, revellers gathered at pubs and clubs, beaches, street and house parties to welcome the New Year."
It was hot yesterday. Really, really hot and it did impact on some restaurants because of cancellations of meals. it was fortuitous for people who made a last minute decision to go out and eat. it actually meant we were flexible on New Year's Eve! A lot of people stayed home and enjoyed the company of friends and family and the celebration hot spots were as busy and happy as ever. I guess the heat brought in the choices and that's a good thing. We had a great meal at a coastal pub and then a laid back, quiet time at home. it was hard to celebrate, but it was good to be with each other and know that Adelaide was alive and well.
