Wife keeps presidency in the family

Wife keeps presidency in the family : "Senator Fernandez said she also felt 'an immense responsibility for my gender'. 'I want to reach out to all women,' she said. 'I know that we can accomplish great work with the special skills that we have.'"

Not since Eva Peron has Argentina had a female president and they were jubilant in welcoming her as their new president. She is strong, charming, immaculately dressed and very eloquent. She takes over from her husband. Ségolène Royal was there so it was good to see these women politicians support and strengthen each other. The boys, their toys and their hot air are getting us into more and more trouble and over here we cannot even tolerate a woman speaking as a politician let alone consider having one for Prime Minister. Our women politicians need to take courage and heart from people like Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner because she sits very ably and comfortably at the top and her people are her people. We are incredibly limited and unbalanced in our approach when we cannot furnish credible, successful women from a country such as Australia. We have some amazing women who cannot seem to survive the political arena here. Why is that?
