Lightning, storms lash state: "SOUTH AUSTRALIA was lashed by lightning, storms and gale force winds which capsized boats, blew off roofs, brought down trees and left more than 6000 homes without power last night."
Indeed. For the last 2 weekends we have gone from top summer to bottom winter. The temperatures and conditions have been really rather diverse and dramatic. The storm damage is evident as you drive around with tree branches down. October usually brings us high winds but not usually the extremes in temperature. One minute we're in shorts, the next minute winter woollies and the beloved track pants!
