Sydney shivers in record chill

Sydney shivers in record chill : "Sydneysiders woke up to their coldest July morning in 21 years today, when the thermometer dipped to 3.7 degrees."

3.7??? We've had 1.6!! Australia has gone chilly and we are feeling it. Aches, pains, colds. Sun, sand and surf? Not likely. The chill in the wind has been horrible. It's been something we have had to work on because we do not naturally rug up. We've been knitting and buying scarves. Wool jackets and coats are walking our the shops as are woolly hats. I have never seen so many woolly hats in Adelaide and everyone looks so cute! We've had to buy gloves, blankets, quilts. We have at least had the sense to rug up in our winter woollies instead of our favourite windcheaters. Thick socks are very popular too. Normally we moan our way through. Some people are getting grumpy because they get woken up at 4 or 5 am when the temperature drops quite markedly ...but huddling and cuddling is getting us through!
