We are in a country which can use, and invest in, renewable energy. We don't have that many people . It makes sense to go green on our energy because we can. We have the land, we have a small population, we have sun, wind, hot rocks. I guess each country has to look at its energy needs and how they can best meet them without contributing to excess greenhouse gases. As a country we can refine the delivery of green energy and improve upon the technology for that so that we are able to advise other countries. As a planet we need to work together on developing energy sources which are more rational in the light of the state of the planet. As such different countries can then become the leaders of best practice so the world can draw on global expertise and experience. That makes sense to me. I hope we follow through on it and put our money where our mouth is.
