College students think they're so special

College students think they're so special : "The study asserts that narcissists “are more likely to have romantic relationships that are short-lived, at risk for infidelity, lack emotional warmth, and to exhibit game-playing, dishonesty, and over-controlling and violent behaviors.”"

Speaking of narcissists, then I think I might be getting a copy of the book mentioned in this article, Generation Me: Why Today’s Young Americans Are More Confident, Assertive, Entitled — and More Miserable Than Ever Before by Twenge and doesn't the title so fit these kids who cannot be summed up in one word like other kids of other generations? The entitled. The airheads, the over achievers, the super achievers, the winsome wisps and the demanding , special , entitled lot. So, are we having those sorts of problems? Do we have young ones who lack emotional warmth, who trade affection to promote themselves, who cannot take criticism without a profound over reaction with tears and tragedy or violence and aggression? Do we have manipulators? Controllers? Do our young people behave like that? Is this what teachers, the general public and employers are dealing with? The self absorbed, the self indulged, the self centred and the what's your problem the type of person and why haven't you got it right? It must be fun out there!!
