More rain expected in drought-hit state : "But despite the break in the season, Weatherzone said April was a hot month in Adelaide with the average overnight minimum temperature a mild 15 degrees, compared to the long-term average of 12."
It has been relatively warm with some real pockets of cold. One minute we are bundled up in woolly jumpers and the next minute we're running around in T Shirts. No one is complaining because the rain is so good and has taken the pressure off. We were so sick of watering and it's nice to see the plants respond to the rain we have had. It means I have had to be out cutting the lawn!! I'd almost forgotten how to do it. It's been tough though because drought stricken trees have had to be severely pruned or removed and that is sad. I have been dealing with a massive gum branch which snapped off and would have been a hazard if it had not been safely removed and dismantled. The freshness has been lovely and the nights are not quite cold enough for the fire...just a nice woolly blanket or fancy quilt.
