Hoons may have cars clamped

Hoons may have cars clamped : "Under the attorney-general's proposal, police would initially be able to wheel clamp cars for up to 10 days and then apply to the courts for an order of up to 90 days."

Go for it because the few are determining the lifestyle of the rest of us and they are forcing us to participate in their negative no life. There was a car screeching around here last night when I was watering. A few of us had come out because you could hear it and we wanted the number, but the young guys in the fawn car were swerving out of one street into another and it was just too fast. My biggest fear was what has happened here before...the cars have swung out of control into my garden or my neighbours'. The last one had the SES, the police , the fire brigade...all at 9pm. They come out around 5-6 and then it's on. Some nights it's lovely and quiet and there have been far fewer of them. The driver of this car had it full of his friends and , okay, they were having fun...but an older car like that is not so good on the brakes and suspension and that was nice and obvious. I do wonder what is so exciting about skewing and screeching around in a car on suburban roads. Why not go out bush and really ramp it up in a rough terrain vehicle? Why not go to the drags and get right into it? In a way it all seems a bit silly, but we have little kids on our street and pets, so we were a bit concerned. I don't mind the drivers with the loud exhausts, the blairing CD players and the thump of the bass...nor the ones who yell out and are just in high spirits for whatever reason. They aren't hurting anyone. They're just noisy. They'll grow up soon enough and be old and sedate.
