Fast-food fracas nabs thief

Fast-food fracas nabs thief : "The pair tackled the man and one, a worker at the local pizza outlet, was subsequently stabbed in the back during the altercation. He was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with moderate injuries.

The other man, a customer in the fast-food chicken outlet, tried to disarm the man by hitting him with a cricket bat."

People are just not going to take it anymore, are they? They are fed up being robbed and brutalised and fed up living in a world where people just come in and use violence to get what they want. Clearly the community is uniting and giving a message that they are not going to take it. The two guys who took him on obviously united in a spirit of co operation and did what they could. The girl took off and got help. Everyone played their part. Yes, it can go wrong, and yes, it could be worse if you put yourself in the line of fire like that. But we cannot keep playing victim and we cannot keep having this victim mentality and having a society where people can just do as they please.

As for the robber, clearly he was hungry so he thought he'd threaten the local service station people to get what he wanted. He obviously was not thinking very clearly because there are organisations which will help when you are starving and they will get you straightened out in that sense . He now has all these charges against him when what he needs is support in coping with the daily basics...like food and drink. Maybe he has children. Who knows? His decisions making skills are pretty precarious and he's now a criminal instead of a needy case.
