Scientific gold in amber discovery

Scientific gold in amber discovery on beaches :

"WHEN fisherman Dale Wicks and his partner Beth Norris went on evening walks on the remote coast of far north Queensland, they became intrigued by large chunks of strange-looking rock on the beaches."

Since fossils in the amber may be as old as 15 million years, this couple is going to also scientific research on it before they do anything else. Scientists will make further studies in the area next year to try and find the source since this is the first amber found in Australia. Last couple of years has been the first for all sorts of things in the world. What have we been doing differently to suddenly find these things. Studying the fossils and possibly extracting DNA is an awesome prospect at this stage since we can get some idea of life millions of years ago. What an amazing find. I hope they bring us the news about it.
