Further 17 whales die in NZ

Further 17 whales die in second NZ stranding. :

"The survivors were herded out to sea but later came ashore at another beach a few kilometres to the south.

A Conservation Department spokesman said they had six boats monitoring the remaining whales and would stay with them for the rest of the day as they again headed out to sea."

The New Zealanders have been working so hard this last couple of days to save these whales. They lost 37 on the first day and now they have lost 17 of the 40 which were left. The New Zealanders have shown so much care and dedication in trying to protect and manage this mass stranding. NZ does get a lot of stranding abut it doesn't say why this one occurred. They are trying so hard to keep the others alive. I salute you.
