More women needed in politics

AdelaideNow... More women needed in politics:

"Speaking at the Australian Institute of Management's Women in Management breakfast at the Convention Centre, Ms Gillard said women in the House of Representatives had dropped to 20 per cent after the last federal election."

Yes, the men all over the world in politics are laughing. Women just can't hack the pace. So we have to listen to interminable militaristic, bombastic , belligerent "hard talk" followed by patronising, dumbed down platitudes. For heaven's sake, let's get some women in who are articulate and can cut the mustard because if I hear one more gung ho speech...what is it with women? How come they can't take all this crap and give as good as they get? How come they can't change it and how come they just walk off? Maybe they have made the right decision because it really is facile at the moment and it's about creating conflict. It's not about resolution of problems. It's about increasing them...and it's very focussed in that regard which is probably why a lot of women have opted out and cannot be bothered staying in. They can at least put their energies elsewhere...like all the crimes against women at the moment. On and on and on.
