Criminal threat sending ID overseas

AdelaideNow... Criminal threat sending ID overseas:

"The poll comes as alarming evidence is set to be revealed today by a British television program, showing Indian criminals are selling for as little as $12 British bank customer details held in India."

Our banking and anything else should be here. Full stop end of story. It is very difficult operating from another country when you have no idea of the set up. My friend hung up on her phone inquiry and decided to ring back later when she could get an Australian I with or without the "mate")on the phone. Not because the person overseas was unhelpful but they had no understanding of what the problem was from an Australian time frame and perspective. That's the other problem..the time zones and the geographical difference. I can understand and sympathise when companies are expected to run 24/7 these days. I can see how using an overseas service centre and help desk would ease the pressure. But our information should be here. It's making a complete mockery of customer loyalty and customer service and it's very time consuming...but if you add ID theft to that, well, it's just not about people at all is it and who cares as long as the companies get their money? Time for a change, I feel.
