Restrictions likely if dry spell continues :
"'I can assure South Australians that if the dry spell continues and we get to crunch time then the Government will have no hesitation in implementing water restrictions,' Mr Wright said."
I figured this would come to Adelaide because it's been happening in other states. So for the past year I have had a dummy run on the water restrictions! I figured I'd rather and try and work it out for myself and see what I could do than be caught in the middle of a Government run drive which is okay but doesn't actually show any flexibility. Like the gutter washing and car washing etc. As long as the water ends on the garden does it matter that I hose my gutters as I water the garden with a hose, as I am allowed to..or I hose off the car as the water runs onto the lawn? For me it would save some wear and tear on my joints if I could do that and I would not be using more water. Don't panic, I have not disobeyed your rulings and I can assure you the water vans are out as soon as it is hot watching us. Bad luck they don't catch the families who run the sprinklers all day for the kids to play in when we live right near the beach!!....or a paddling pool would do the trick.
