Thrifty residents curb city water use

The Australian: Thrifty residents curb city water use : "Melbourne residents had the lowest average water consumption of 74 kilolitres a person in 2004-05, a 3.5per cent fall on the previous year. Sydney had the second-lowest consumption, at 78 kilolitres a person, a 5.6per cent fall on the previous year.

Darwin, unsurprisingly, was the nation's thirstiest city, consuming 167 kilolitres a person, followed by Perth (107 kilolitres).

Apart from Darwin, Brisbane was the only city to record a rise in consumption, from 102 to 104 kilolitres. But that 2 per cent rise did not take into account the recent introduction of water restrictions in the Queensland capital."

Can you see Adelaide or Hobart in there? I can assure you, we saved plenty of water in Adelaide and we have been espousing the scheme with our customary dedication to environmental improvement. So, where is our appraisal??
