Mighty Crows break Dockers

AdelaideNow... Mighty Crows break Dockers:

"The Crows were missing several key players through injury or illness, while the Dockers came into the game on a nine-game winning streak, but Adelaide pulled away in the last quarter to win 10.16 (76) to 7.4 (46)."

Adelaide was most certainly reeling from the news of Peter Brock dying. Our inimitable Don Chipp; our beloved author whom we all grew up on, Colin Thiele, our colourful mate, Steve Irwin and then the legend, the absolute legend and hero to us all, Peter Brock. We all grew up on Peter Brock too. He was so much someone to admire even if we didn't much like racing. In the end you watched him on Mount Panorama and the rallies because he was just so awesome...and he was such an individual, such a thinker, so much a person at one with his cars and racing. The rain just added to our thoughtful mood. But, we were all looking forward to the Crows match. Even those of us who were out shopping were keeping tabs on it around the shopping centre. No, we didn't watch it on free TVs...we actually asked each other. We were all full of warm communication today and had a sense of belonging to each other. Family. We were all family and we just wanted to know how our team was going. The Crows must have heard us. We were so much of the mind we wanted them to win. We just wanted to be pround of our team and the guys who have done it a bit hard lately. They didn't let us down and I am pretty certain we are all proud of them. There'll be a few Crows scarves at work on Monday!! Well done, guys.
