Butterflies on brink of extinction

AdelaideNow... Butterflies on brink of extinction:

"Experts from Butterfly Conservation SA and the South Australian Museum have predicted the extinction of butterflies by 2040 unless action is taken now to preserve them.

They have teamed up for a major long-term project to restore butterfly numbers in Adelaide."

We were running out of butterflies in this area. A couple of years ago they were noticeably and sadly lacking. We have been planting our gardens differently and we seem to have the butterflies back. I wish I knew what we had done because our butterflies come around and are pretty. We also seem to have increased our lady bird numbers because they, too, had become alsost non existent. We have palms, date and banana, native trees, flowers and geraniums and the big leafy philodendrons and monsteras.
