Perfumer smells something fishy in Sydney

Perfumer smells something fishy in Sydney :

"'In Sydney, people smell like fish, because you eat so much fish here, like the Romans eat garlic, but in Paris it's chicken; these people are eating so many Rhine chickens that in the street you can always smell them.'"

It must be hard being a "nose " for perfume. You are chosen because you are a nose, but then your nose would lead you to these observations and more!! I would never have picked fish as the smell of Sydneyites!! I wonder what Adelaide dwellers smell of? Pizza? Tuna? Salmon? Can't be bananas any more. Apples! Everyone is eating apples.
