The Advertiser: Costello flags state revenue grab :
"The treasurer revealed his plans while bemoaning the state of federalism in Australia – a system he said worked a century ago but was now outdated."
I guess it is out of date if you are not able to access the States' resources, finances and income earning potentials. Like absolute monarchs, you need to own everything and be in charge of everything. Federation is a crucial aspect of this country. So who says it's not working and we shouldn't have it apart from our monarchs? I thought we didn't want a monarchy anymore?
