Allez les Bleus!!

Zidane leads France to World Cup final:

"The 34-year-old Zidane, who retires after the finals and will play the last game of a glittering career at the Olympic stadium, got the winner after 33 minutes by converting a penalty after Thierry Henry's ankle was caught by Ricardo Carvalho."

The young football kids are going to be so thrilled to watch Zidane in action again. 34 or not he is a bloomin' legend and he is living proof, like Agassi, that, these days, you can give so much to your chosen sport and your country even when you are over 30 . There is a real mental flexibility about these men and an enormous capacity to influence others in a good way. Experienced sports people like this are an incredible inspiration and seem to have a broad reaching impact on their audiences. At this stage, Zidane, like Agassi is able to inspire young people everywhere and older people admire their fitness, their expertise and their capacity to reach out and give.

So, Sunday is France vs Italy? Did we expect that? Huang Jianxiang is going to be indescribably ecstatic that Italy is in the final and we all know how much he will be loving them!! France can't be that bad if they knocked out Brazil. It amazes me how many of these matches are decided on penalties or penalty shootouts...which I cannot bear to watch they are such cliff hangers. Defence must be so good the goal scoring is down, is that it? Bon, alors, allez-y et allez les Bleus!
