Queer Guy lets cat out of the bag

The Advertiser: Stay tuned as Queer Guy lets cat out of the bag :

"Assisting with the makeovers at the do, Ty revealed Channel 10 will be airing those taped, but never seen, episodes of Aussie Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Well, if they weren't before, they are now."

The original Queer Eye has quite a following here in Adelaide. There are those who like it, those who love it and those who love to hate it. It makes for great conversations the day after. I love it. I wasn't sure how our Australian version would go but I thought we did it well and I was a bit annoyed it had to be the same format, but I guess that's the franchise agreement. Our guys had a less flamboyant approach which worked better here, even though we can really enjoy flamboyant in other people. Our guys had a quieter approach, but it made for interesting viewing and the impact was very positive. Considering how much destructive TV gets air I was really disappointed when it was taken off. People get the impression these days that TV is about what they want to put on and not what we want to watch. We are told what we like and that we like reality TV and we like violent crap and we like airhead drivel. Of course we do, they said so. Well, I like the quiet, unassuming Aussi queer eye and I love the flamboyant, out there American queer eye. Both the shows are about making people feel better in their skins. So.. I hope Ty is right and I do not find the remark catty at all. Those guys were very straight in their talk. I want to see the rest of the episodes and I want more!! Let's feel good about ourselves, people.
