Subsidies or Kyoto essential for nuclear power :
"HEAVY taxpayer subsidies would be required to get privately owned nuclear power into operation in Australia unless the Government joins the Kyoto Protocol."
So we would need to pay for our nuclear power stations?? Who will be owning them? Ah, Westinghouse. Don't they make washing machines? I think we need more facts and figures. More thought, more discussion, more debate. It may well be a good idea but I do not want to pay for stations being built. The fincial aspect of this is weird is odd to say the least.
