Paris to showcase Indigenous art.

Paris to showcase Indigenous art. :

"On June 23, President Jacques Chirac will open the city's newest museum, the Musee due Quai Branly.

Tucked away near the Eiffel Tower, it is a multi-million dollar monument to non-Western art and it will permanently pay homage to Australia's Indigenous culture."

Je vous remercie de tout mon coeur. Thank you! This is brilliant news. We have some great artists here and our indigenous artists come up with vibrant, powerful works of art. The last indigenous art show I saw at the Bendigo art gallery and I thoroughy enjoyed and appreciated it. We do not see enough of our indigenous art works. Our cultural heritage goes back and back in time. This Paris exhibition will feature images from the Dreamtime. It is so important for the whole world to see the art of the most ancient civilisation on earth. I am so pleased our indenous people are being honoured and respected in this way. I wonder if they will feature any of the indigenous photography? I have seen some amazing pictures of Australia photographed by indigenous people and the photographs show Australia in a way we do not see it.
