Garry McDonald is a genius. He has brought us inspired and thinking comedy for years. He is now teaching us about depression by talking about his own battle with it. He is a legend, an icon and very much the embodiment of all that is Australia. The painting is a fitting tribute to him and no wonder it was the people's choice. We like talent and thought and in this photo we have it all two times over.
