British govt loses Hicks appeal bid. :

"Guantanamo Bay detainee David Hicks has moved another step closer to being granted British citizenship after the British Court of Appeal announced it would refuse any further appeals by the Government."

There is confusion about who or what David Hicks is or was. He fought on the side of the Kosovans whom we took in here as short term refugees. At the time he was in Afghanistan he was not breaking any international or Australian law. The clarity about who he is and what he has been about has been lost. People just say he is a terrorist. Why? He is in Guantanamo Bay and that is as far as the thinking seems to go. He has suffered enough. He has not had either a fair hearing or a fair and impartial judgement.
