Diabetes triples in NSW

Diabetes triples in NSW :

"The summit's keynote speaker, US endocrinologist Professor Francine Kaufman, said the rising number of children with type two diabetes was a major concern.

'We used to call it adult onset diabetes,' she said.

'Children did not have this disease before. So this is a hugely new phenomenon for us.'"

You do wonder, don't you, when we call ourselves civilised and we cannot even keep ourselves healthy. We cannot keep our children healthy. Increasing diabetes is something which ought not occur in an intelligent country. A civilised country. What on earth are we doing? We need to keep the pesticides off the food and the chemicals in the laboratory and the bottoms off the couch.
