The Australian: Kraft closes biscuit factory :
"Jane Farrell, assistant branch secretary of the Liquor Hospitality and Miscellaneous Union which covers production workers at the plant, said Kraft should have warned workers and made redundancy preparations well before today's snap announcement."
They should have , but they didn't. Multinationals just have to worry about being multinational. They are about administration not people and about cost effectiveness and profit . This should not come as a surprise. I hope now we'll make our own biscuits , because we always did make great biscuits. So, let's live and learn, shall we?
