Iraq war could cost $2.6 trillion

Iraq war could cost $2.6 trillion :

"The cost of the Iraq war could top $US2 trillion ($A2.66 trillion), far above the US administration's pre-war projections, according to a new study.

The study takes into account long-term costs such as lifetime health care for thousands of wounded US soldiers."

Seems an awful lot of money. Most people couldn't imagine what that amount of money would look like. Couldn't they spend it on something else? Wouldn't it be cheaper to rebuild Iraq rather than bomb it? I'm sure people would shut up if you walked in with that amount of money and offered to rebuild their country. Sorry, I know I'm being glib...I could go and have a look at the death statistics again. How many soldiers? How many Iraqis? Obviously not enough , yet, because this much money is still being spent on it.
